The Boys of Pointe Du Hoc and Reagan’s Speech Honoring Their Sacrifice

This site isn’t just about guns…it’s about liberty.  And sometimes, especially on this day, the anniversary of D-Day, we should take a moment to remember that freedom has rarely been given and has mostly been won. How is freedom won?  At the point of a sword, at the tip of a spear, at the muzzle of a gun…with brave men and women willing to die for the achievement or preservation of liberty.  Like the boys of Pointe Du Hoc: I shiver to think that a mere 70 years since so many gave so much for the liberation of a foreign land, that we find ourselves on the precipice of losing our liberty through apathy and acquiescence. Corrupt government agencies targeting American citizens to disagree with policy. Over reaching big brother agencies trampling on civil rights.  The executive branch, backed by billionaires, seeking to undermine our last refuge of resistance....

Forget Birds and Stones: British Sniper Kills 6 Terrorists With 1 Bullet

As the old adage goes, it is a good thing to be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. How great is it then for the (as of now) unnamed 20 year old Lance Corporal to stop a violent terrorist attack from ever happening when he shot the TRIGGER SWITCH from a suicide bomber from over 930 YARDS AWAY. In making this incredible shot not only did the Lance Cpl kill the bomber but also the five fellow Taliban terrorists next to him. While this action happened in December it has only been recently made public.  The incident took place in Southern Afghanistan in an area called Kakaran. Lt Col Richard Slack, commanding officer of 9/12 Royal Lancers, said the Lance Cpl. prevented a major attack by the Taliban, as another suicide vest packed with 44lbs of high explosives was found nearby. And don’t go thinking this soldier...

A European’s Idea of an American Breakfast

Having dinner with some friends, one of them asked me if I had seen the European’s idea of an American Breakfast.  When I said I hadn’t he pulled out his smartphone and showed it to me. I laughed pretty hard because while I’m sure some smarmy European was having, what he thought, was a dig to American’s I just thought it looked like the breakfast of Champions. Here it is: | | | | | | | | | \/   Now, if that doesn’t look DELICIOUS, you might be more European than American. And to the Europeans across the pond who want to try and make me, as an American, feel bad because I live in the land of plenty, love bacon and the freedom that the right to keep and bear arms ensures and think I should give it all up like they do, I say: From...

Obama’s Foreign Policy: Keep drawing lines in the sand and hope

For those of you who don’t know, Rex Ryan is the Head Coach for the New York Jets football team. Rex Ryan LOVES to talk a big game. So much so, he guaranteed a Super Bowl victory THREE TIMES in three successive seasons before said seasons even started.  Not only did he not win a Super Bowl, but his team never even MADE the game. It seems like Obama has followed Rex Ryan’s lead and has decided to just continually spout off with diarrhea of the mouth and not actually back it up with anything.  He has let Iran, Syria and Russia do whatever they want despite his ever moving “line in the sand.” What the president has failed to figure out, the lesson even a toddler knows, is that if all you do is bluff and someone finally calls you on it, they will never take you seriously...

Another win for gun control as 29 unarmed Chinese are slaughtered during KNIFE rampage

Gun controllers love to to try and say that knife rampages don’t happen. That is a fallacy.  Knife rampages do indeed happen.  They just happen in gun control utopias…and gun controllers HATE to have to admit that. And no, I don’t mean just in places like human rights violating China. I’m talking about Sunset Park, Brooklyn and in California schools. You can click on those hyperlinks to read those tales.  But this article is about China.  In Kunming China on Saturday, 29 unarmed (thanks gun control) innocent civilians were butchered when 5 knife wielding assailants started hacking their way through the chattel. 5 people killed 29 and injured 143 more before the police EVENTUALLY got there to shoot 4 of the perpetrators and capture one. Fortunately the 29 dead and 143 injured did not have to dirty their hands with having to use a gun to save their own lives...

Hey Connecticut, 1933 Berlin called, they want their Gestapo back

The powers that be in Connecticut have decided that little things like the Constitution and Rights have no place in the (ironically named) Constitution state. When you have the Connecticut State Police spokesman, Lt. Paul Vance declare that anyone who voices opinions contrary to support of the new gun control law “sounds anti-American” one cannot help but hear shades of the Gestapo looking to root out any perceived opposition to the dictatorship. Here is a quote from Lt. Vance during a phone conversation with a woman whose husband received a letter saying he must turn in or destroy his weapons because the authority didn’t get the paperwork in time: “Ma’am, it sounds like you’re anti-American, it sounds like you’re anti-law.” According to Vance, if you are not lock step in line with the government’s oppression then you are Anti-American. When the caller, Ashley, responds to this notion by saying...

Strong Gun Control, Oppressive Government…Welcome to Kiev Ukraine

What does an oppressive government, restricting gun control and a total disdain for the populace get you? So far about 100 people dead and a nation’s capital on fire. Oddly enough, some people STILL claim that such a thing could never happen here. First, they need to be stood correctly, they don’t think something like that can happen here…AGAIN. And i’m not talking about some Whiskey Rebellion on the frontier of Appalachia in the 1700’s.  No, one need only look to the 20th Century to see how an American government can kill and injure it’s own citizens who come to DC for regress of grievances. In 1932 the “Bonus Army”, some 17,000 WWI veterans and their families (approx 43,000 marchers) came to Washington DC to demand their promised bonus money for serving in the “Great War”.  The government’s response?  Send in the Infantry and 6 tanks to drive the people...

Gun Control: Ensuring tigers can freely maul people to death

I love tigers.  I think they are beautiful and majestic creatures.  I would not willingly hunt them.  But that is not to say that I wouldn’t shoot one to death while it was trying to maul my face off for a snack. Unfortunately for Indians that is not an option.  India’s draconian gun laws bars gun ownership to nearly all of the 1.2 Billion residents of the country. The Arms Act of 1959 and the Arms Rules 1962 of India prohibits the sale, manufacture, possession, acquisition, import, export and transport of firearms and ammunition unless under a license and is a stringent process. Who get’s these licenses?  The firearms criteria in India is stringent; applicable for a person, especially having a government position who faces immediate danger or threats, family members of such people and a person whose occupation by nature involves open threats and danger. Exceptions are, defense officers who...

This Flag Dips To No Earthly King

America. We were a country with some balls back in the day. With the beginning of the Winter Olympics I am reminded of a pair of Americans back in 1908. Ralph Rose was the United States Flag Bearer for the 1908 Summer Olympic Games held in London, England.  In the opening ceremonies Rose walked by the royal box and refused to dip the Stars and Stripes to King-Emperor Edward VII. US Olympic Team Captain Martin Sheridan upon being questioned about Rose’s refusal simply said: “This flag dips to no earthly king.” America. You may be surprised that it wasn’t until Flag Day, June 14th, 1923 that there was any codified government guideline to the flag.  Hence, Rose and Sheridan were ahead of their time and both symbolized the patriotic and religious natures of Americans. Imagine if you will, what would happen if such a similar act of patriotism and...

Olympic Charter a lie for many countries

“The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.” –Olympic Charter The practice of sport is a human right.  Interesting.  Because I am pretty sure that Shooting is a sport and even has a number of Olympic events.  Yet this HUMAN RIGHT is denied a great number of people around the world.  One need look no further than the past 4 summer Olympic venues. In the UK, handgun suppression for law abiding citizens is absolute and for 16 years was outlawed for even Olympian shooters.  Finally, in 2012, 27 year old barmaid Georgina Geikie will be the first to compete in the Olympic cartridge pistol event since 1996. Of course, if she wanted to practice she still had to...

Does America need to look to Mexico for a reminder of the true meaning of the 2nd Amendment?

The 2nd Amendment isn’t about hunting. That is a well and established fact. And while the 2nd Amendment is about defense it does not end there. You see, the Right to Keep and Bear Arms goes so much further than simply defending yourself and your property.  It was enumerated in the Constitution so that the people would always have the means in which to defend their liberty and freedom from dangers both foreign AND domestic.  Namely its own government…or those who act freely with the government’s allowance. And, despite what VP Biden would have you believe, you need a little more than granddaddy’s ole double barrel shotgun blasting warning shots to do so. But in the US, it seems many have forgotten our roots.  That, while this country was founded on ideals, it was forged at the muzzle of a gun and the tip of a bayonet. For those...

Iconic AK-47 Inventor Passes Away

I love America. I think we are pretty much the bees knees when it comes a lot of things But sometimes you’ve got to give a commie his due. The world lost a pioneer today, Mikhail Kalashnikov passed away today at the ripe old age of 94. His lasting legacy will be the firearm that bears his name, the  Avtomat Kalashnikova that he created in November of 1947; thereafter known colloquially as the AK-47. Despite being the poster child gun for gun controllers who wish to stamp out so called “assault rifles” the AK-47 is one of the most impressive rifles of the modern era. Compared it a M-16, which can be fickle in both weather and cleaning, the AK can be tossed in a mud pit, covered in sand, run over by a truck, left there over the winter and still be ready to fire when you pull the trigger. It...

Today a young Nelson Mandela would have been sent to Guantanamo, and rightfully so.

First off, let me say that I have great respect for Mr. Mandela and how he spent his life after he got out of prison. But unlike the sychophants on the news and President Obama I will not deify him as the greatest human being ever or this fictionalized man of peace who never did wrong in his life. The fact of the matter is that for most of his life Nelson Mandela was a terrorist.  Not a Muslim terrorist but rather a radical communist terrorist.  So an equivalent of Guantanamo Bay is most likely where he would end up today.  The world does not tolerate terrorists as much today as they did in Mandela’s youth. I’m willing to forgive the man for his communist leanings, he is free to have those, I mean Trotsky wasn’t as bad a guy compared to Stalin and that’s probably what got him...

How the Kenyan Mall Massacre Can Easily Happen in the US…Thanks Gun Control

Last week Islamic Terrorists stormed the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya killing at least 68 people.  Four days later, the armed men have continued to hold off police attempts to retake the mall. These terrorists executed anyone who wasn’t a muslim or couldn’t answer questions about Islam such as what Muhammed’s mother’s name was or couldn’t recite passages from the Koran. The first thing I could think of is how easily that could happen here.  The second was how did it happened in Kenya in the first place? The answer is the fallacy of gun control. A quick run down of gun control measures in Kenya: The Washington DC National Commission on the Causes and Prevention of Violence categorizes the regulation of guns in Kenya as restrictive. The right to private gun ownership is not guaranteed by law Civilians are not allowed to possess semi-automatic self-loading military assault rifles...

Who loves loopholes when they help HIM? …Obama

Talk about a guy who loves loopholes.  Well, I guess he only loves loopholes when he can exploit them. While President Obama has droned on ad nauseum about the so called “gun show loophole” and the internet gun sales loophole and anything else he doesn’t like about the 2nd Amendment calling it a loophole, he doesn’t seem to have an issue exploiting a loophole of his own. No, I’m not talking about how Obama declared that the Individual Mandate of Obamacare wasn’t a tax but is only Constitutional as one. No, there is one loophole that has come up rather recently that the Obama administration has jumped feet first into and ironically enough it has everything to do with guns and revolution. While Obama doesn’t believe that US Citizens have the right to keep and bear arms in order to defend themselves against tyranny, he has no problem whatsoever about Muslim...

Never bring a knife to a stone and beheading fight

During a Brazillian soccer match in the town of Pius XII, player Linda dos Santos Abreu was ejected from the game by referee Otávio Jordan da Silva de Catanhede. Abreu did not take kindly to his ejection and began to fight with da Silva. The ensuing fist fight came to an abrupt end when da Silva produced a knife and stabbed Abreu, who would later die en route to the hospital.  This action enraged the friends, family and fans of Abreu who stormed the field and stoned da Silva to death, beheaded him and quartered his body sticking his decapitated head at midfield of the pitch. This story doesn’t have anything to do with firearms.  I just wanted to illustrate the hypocrisy of countries with strong gun control who like to point to America and say we are a bunch of unsophisticated cowboys who love guns too much. Yeah…WE’RE the...

The Pointlessness of Gun Control and Necessity of Gun Rights Illustrated

In my internet cruising I have come across a great many interesting people and artists from around the world.  One of my favorites is a bi-weekly webcomic written in Germany but which takes place in the US. The title of the comic is Sandra and Woo.  Its a Calvin and Hobbes type story about a girl and her talking raccoon.  Hi-jinks occur.  The reason I’m bringing this up today is that the author, Oliver Knorzer, has been on a bit of a pro gun rights kick as of late.  I’m not sure if it is by accident or not  but I wanted to share nonetheless. The first illustrates the futility of gun free zones in an interesting way: How simple is that?  Any item, in the hands of someone willing to use it can be turned into a weapon.  Should we have pencil control?  Go back to using safety...

Obama to arm Syrian Rebels while moves to disarm American Citizens

In case you haven’t heard, Syria is an a bit of an open revolt against its government.  So as to not get into the politics of the Middle East too greatly, regime change might be a good thing, but one can never tell in the terrorist laced hotbed that is the Middle East. For instance, the Syrian “rebels” have a concentration of Al Qaeda infiltration within their collective ranks.  Is it a high concentration?  Hard to say, but Al Qaeda operatives have been identified as being among the rebels.  One section of rebels have even openly pledged loyalty to Al Qaeda. With the presence of Al Qaeda among the rebels growing , President Obama has moved to begin arming the Syrian “rebels” with all kinds of guns and ammunition. Let me repeat that in order to stress the important point…Obama is knowingly and willingly giving military grade weapons to...
