Gun Hating Principal Bans Mother From School For Having A CCW Permit

Janina Dallas, the principal of McBean Elementary School in Hephzibah, GA,  has involved the police department in banning a student’s mother from the buildings and school property. The mother banned is Tanya Mount.  What did Tanya do that was so dangerous that it warranted Dallas taking these extreme measures? Mount took a picture of her recently issued Georgia CCW and posted it on facebook.   While I wouldn’t have posted my carry permit or any form of ID on social media there is no crime in that.  And if Mount was excited by getting hers and wanted to show her friends then I do not see the harm. Yet, Mount, an Army veteran, soon would discover what harm an irrational, hoplophobic administrator on a power trip can cause. The Principal, Janina Dallas, was somehow made aware of the photo showing that Mount had her CCW and as such contacted police...

CA Court of Appeals lays foundation for near total gun ban

On Monday October 21st 2013, California’s 4th District Court of Appeal held that the Second Amendment does not apply to semi-automatic firearms like “AK” platform rifles. At first, while a setback for the 2nd Amendment, a person might try and rationalize this ruling as a ruling against so called “assault” weapons and considering it IS California after all that is not too surprising.  But as they say, the devil is in the details and this ruling is much more insidious than simply undercutting the right to keep and bear AK-47’s. In their ruling the court states:  “We construe Heller as standing for the proposition that the right secured by the Second Amendment is ‘not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose’ (Heller, supra, 554 U.S. at p. 626), but is instead the right to possess and carry weapons typically possessed by law-abiding citizens for lawful purposes...

Brian Aitken: In NJ, even when you are innocent you’ll pay like you’re guilty

Brian Aitken had his life destroyed for doing something that all Americans are constitutionally guaranteed the right to do, owning a firearm. While moving to the draconian, gun-hating state of New Jersey, Brian was pulled over while transporting his gun to his new home. Guns are all but banned in New Jersey, save for under some special circumstances, one of which is moving a gun to a new residence. Even though Brian had done nothing illegal, he was sentenced to seven years in prison by a depraved activist judge. He was pardoned (not really, i’ll get to that later) after four months, but has been suffering from the fraudulent charges levied against him ever since. Brian is still a convicted felon. He can’t travel to other countries, pass any type of background check, and worst of all, hasn’t been able to see his son in four years. Not only...

The cautionary tale of American Indians – What happens when only 1 side has the guns

Seeing as it is Columbus day, I am reminded of the cautionary tale that can be learned from the treatment of the American Indian for some 400 years.  It is a tale of what happens when one side has the guns and the desire to take and control what the other side has. In this case the European explorers and those who followed them.  For gold, resources and land the conquering Europeans carved out a foothold in this land and spent the next few centuries pushing west to conquer it all.  Sure, they spoke of living in harmony and we have the whole Thanksgiving story but in the end an entire race of people lost 2 continents. Before we go any further, let me just say that I am not against manifest destiny, Christopher Columbus or the Washington Redskins; the world is made up of winners and losers.  My...

“If you don’t win, cheat”; that’s the Chicago way

From the city that gave us Barack Obama, Al Capone and the term “Chicago Politics” now gives us a mash up of all three in order to fight against the recent ruling recognizing Chicagoan’s right to keep and bear arms. The Chicago City council has taken it upon themselves to try and infringe and limit the newly recognized right within their city by any means necessary.  By using coercion and threats the thugs of the City Council are forcing the owners of businesses that serve alcohol to place a sign in their window banning guns on the premises. That doesn’t mean just bars, anyplace that serves alcohol will be forced to acquiesce to the whims of the City Council.  This includes restaurants, hotels, bars, clubs, sporting venues, carnivals and festivals etc. Though liquor and grocery stores are exempt. The stance on this matter is reminiscent of a scene in...

A Look at Obama “Under the Radar”

Back in 2011, President Obama promised Sarah Brady that he was working on gun control being quoted as saying to her, “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.” So over the past 2 years, what has “under the radar” entailed?  While the President continues to fail infringing on gun rights by championing legislation, he succeeds by sneaking through continuous executive orders and other directives to federal agencies in order to push forward his gun control agenda. Through executive order the President has done the following: Bans the re-importation of over 600,000 historical M1 Garands to the US Makes it more difficult for gun trusts to purchase firearms Harassment of gun shops on the southern border Set up impediments for the return of property wrongly seized by the government Encourage, through Obamacare, for doctors to ostracize gun owners Push for industry bankrupting false science initiatives such as micro stamping With the...

If Gun Controllers Read The Other Amendments Like They Do The 2nd

Gun control zealots love to get hooked on the semantics of the 2nd Amendment. Due to the forefathers elegant writing that is more verse than prose, gun control zealots have harped on misinterpreted syntaxes of the 2nd Amendment for years. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed The gun controllers like to say that since there isn’t an “and” between State and the right of the people that somehow invalidates the intent of founders.   The intent being found in the other writings of the time. George Mason: “I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” Sam Adams: “And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the...

Lies My Government Tells Me

With the recent signing of the UN Arms Treaty and its potential to undermine American sovereignty in regards to the 2nd Amendment, Sec. of State John Kerry and the Obama Administration has assured the public that they are not going after guns.  History, both recent and spanned, tell us that taking the government’s word in regards to “what will and will not happen” is tenuous at best. Here is a list of just some of the lies our government tells us. Social Security.  Putting aside promises that may have been made by FDR that the number would not be used for identification or that the program would be voluntary (yeah right) there are concrete promises that have been quickly tossed out.  Did you know that when the government was trying to cram the social security ponzi scheme down the American throats they made a lot of promises and even...

THIS is how the Federal Government will get a National Gun Registry

With steady wins and progress, the 2nd Amendment has been sludging through the mire of gun control muck to strengthen itself in most states.  On the federal level, Obama and his gun control cadre do not have the juice to push for hard, gun rights-infringing legislation. So they have decided to attack privacy in more general terms, so they can worm their way into achieving one of their biggest goals and one of the most dire threats to the 2nd Amendment; a National Gun Registry. But as I said, the 2nd Amendment pro gun movement has been kicking ass and taking names lately so how exactly is Obama and his gun grabbing groupies planning on doing this?  Well, they certainly aren’t going to say the word “Gun” or “Registry”.  They are going to say “Credit Card”. Ever hear of the Consumer Financial Protection Board? Sounds like a innocuous and...

Is it me or are Gun Controllers becoming more cartoonish the more they lose?

Remember those old Wile E Coyote and Road Runner cartoons?  The Road Runner would be flying around, enjoying his freedom with the liberty that his speed gave him while Wile E Coyote would try and stop him with convoluted and illogical contraptions and plans. I cannot help but draw a comparison to gun controllers who, especially after losing, come up with some of the most asinine explanations for the loss as well as further propagating the idea that the next giant slingshot or rocket powered roller skates are going to work. Recently, with the loss of 2 gun control state senators, Giron and Morse, anti-liberty governor Hickenloper came out with this gem: “Politics revolves around certain issues how people talk about them and how people’s emotions respond to them and often perceived reality more important than the facts” I’m sorry, but didn’t this whole thing came about because, like...

9/11/13 : Twelve years of letting the terrorists win

I’m going to sidestep the normal gun heavy discussion I tend to have and focus on my Libertarian roots. I cannot help but look at the past twelve years and see all that we lost.  Starting with the 2700+ killed in New York, the 343 fire fighters who died in the line of duty, those in the pentagon and those in the plane that struck it. Then I think of Flight 93 and the heroes on board.  The first and the last victory the people of this country had against the war on terror. Because everything afterward has been a continued and steady victory for terrorism. See, when terrorists commit to something, dying is pretty much a moot point.  Therefore killing them doesn’t actually change the scoreboard.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for killing terrorists, but that is just a show to cover the continuing defeats that we...

You shouldn’t have to ask permission for digging a hole in your yard or owning a gun

The 2nd Amendment doesn’t grant me the right to keep and bear arms. No, really, not being sarcastic. The fact that I am living, endowed with inalienable rights by my creator, of which is the right to defend myself against harm and tyranny is what gives me the right to keep and bear arms. The 2nd Amendment only states that truth and tells the government that they are not allowed to infringe upon that truth. Not like the government listens all the time. Regardless, you shouldn’t have to ask the governments permission to exercise a right that you have by natural law. With thinking about all these inalienable rights I can’t help but remember the first draft of the Declaration of Independence used John Locke’s phrase “Life, Liberty and Property”.  I guess it is more poetic to say “pursuit of happiness”. But do we own our property?  Or really,...

Military Style Raid to check the water…what did you think the Federal Gov was going to use that billion bullet stockpile on?

Chicken Alaska…no, it’s not some savory culinary dish a la chicken alexander but rather a small gold mining town with a population of 17. The members of this town were treated to a rather rude awakening when their little slice of the last frontier was descended upon by a cavalcade of Federal and State agencies.  Or more accurately, the Federal Agencies descended while bringing on some token State agencies in order to make it look less like an invasion and subjugation of state sovereignty. This raid, in which the agencies involved (10) nearly outnumbered the residents of the town (17) is somehow trying to be spun that it was not a raid. Let me stress one point about the previous sentence.  The number of AGENCIES nearly eclipsed the population of the town, not the number of agents which was likened by a resident as a swarm of ants. “Imagine...

Gun owners act with class…the hateful left acts with crass

Depending on where you live, the chances are you have come across those who disagree with your choice to exercise your right to keep and bear arms.  There is also a chance you have found businesses that do not recognize your 2nd Amendment rights. There are plenty of those of the “tolerant” left who have causes they believe in as well. The difference between in how gun owners react to rejection and the way those of the hateful left is quite telling. If a business is anti-gun, we as gun owners will most likely avoid it in order to support another company that believes in the 2nd Amendment.  We’ll let others in our community know that a certain business is anti-gun and may even reach out to that business to let them know that they are losing business but it doesn’t extend further than that. Then you have the...

Anti-gun cities, where the rich pay for protection while the poor pay with their lives

The story in New York City is one often told.  While about 8 million souls reside in the city only a scant proportion  (.00375%) are allowed to carry a gun for their own protection.  And with the steep, non-refundable application fee many people just cannot afford to even try for the likelihood of getting turned down and losing nearly $500. But the rich, famous, and connected have no issues footing that bill and getting a CCW issued to them.  Yet for every Jon Lennon there are THOUSANDS of John Q Publics murdered because they have had their constitutional rights denied them,  not to mention the tens of thousands raped, robbed or beaten. Even if the privileged few didn’t feel like getting a gun and CCW, like say hypocrite Rosie O’Donnell, you can just pay armed guards to protect you and your family. It’s a nice option, but one the...

The Disenfranchisement of the American Gun Owner

Unbeknownst to me as an American, showing ID in order to exercise a right is apparently unconstitutional.  I say unbeknownst because as a gun owner it seems like I’m forced to show ID all the time to exercise my rights. Yet, for the THIRD time, the courts have ruled in Pennsylvania that the voter ID law that would require a voter to prove they were who they said they were before they could cast a ballot, has been blocked. Apparently, according to the judge and those seeking to abolish the voter ID law, requiring identification somehow is racist, ageist, and a plot to disenfranchise voters.  All it takes is a little bit of time to get a FREE identification card and then you would be able to vote easy peasy, somehow that is too great a burden to bear. According to those who oppose voter ID laws, the young...

When gun control “logic” seeps into other aspects of life

See if this sounds familiar; an individual does something stupid or illegal with a gun that is not representative of responsible, law abiding gun owners in general.  A knee jerk reaction by a skittish “we need to act” political body forces some nonsensical, worthless and ultimately pointless gun control legislation that does nothing more than infringe and harass people who would never abuse their right in the first place. Welcome to New York.  Not too surprising that this knee jerk, micromanaging, Big Brother-esque nanny state mentality with gun control colors other aspects of the lives of its denizens. Case in point, right outside of Albany is Green Island, NY.  Green Island, following the lead of the controllers at the Capitol decided to deal with a persons ability to have pets. Because of a single person who happened to have 10 pets in one apartment (though no mention as to...

Federal Judge ruled Stop & Frisk unconstitutional. Time for a 2nd look at Terry Stops?

New York Despot Michael Bloomberg has taken his virulent hatred of firearms beyond just infringing on the 2nd Amendment rights of his citizens and promoted a program that denies New Yorkers their 4th Amendment rights. This program is colloquially known as “Stop and Frisk”.  Stop and Frisk gives NYPD officers the ability to stop an individual on a whim and search him.  Now, a lot of people complain that it is unfairly targeting black people.  I complain that it is unfairly targeting ANYONE. The practice has increased 600% since Bloomberg took office. Stop and Frisk by the numbers Stop and Frisk basically lowers the amount of reasonable articulable suspicion needed for an officer to engage in a stop.  In fact, looking over the “justifications” on the official police form, reasonable seems to have taken a hike.   Fits description?  Funny how many innocent people fit someones description about something....
