Gun owners need to understand: We’re at war
The 2nd Amendment is under siege by an Executive branch who seeks to make the unconstitutional constitutional, a judiciary branch that doesn’t have the stones to put politics aside and do whats right, a legislative branch that compromises a right away with the death of a thousand paper cuts. A media that is so prone to anti-gun sensationalism that you would think every Main St. in America was the Mogadishu mile. Race baiting opportunists who wish to profit from tragedy and thus feeds the notion that guns are inherently evil. Rich hypocrites who use their fame or fortune to criticise the use of a gun for self protection yet pay a cadre of guards to ensure that THEY’RE safe.
This is the war that the 2nd Amendment is having waged upon it. The enemies are loud and their war cries are shrill. Since they are all working together they have no qualms about lying to get what they want for no other voice seems to contradict them. They’ll even say that 90% of America agrees with them, yet show no actually proof of that statement.
So we have this juggernaut of rich and powerful hypocrites and opportunists who would see all Americans enslaved. Because when it comes down to it, the gutting of the 2nd Amendment puts us all in de facto servitude of those in charge because once we are unarmed…what stops them from taking away any other right?
But is this really America? Are the voices that prattle on in the media and in interviews and in closed door fundraising events (where they think no one is recording) really the will of the majority of America?
Of course its not. Do not let a false perception become reality. This is a war after all and like a chorus of Joseph Goebbels the gun grabbing zealots are trying to wage a propaganda war filled with false evidence, character assassination and the exploitation of tragedy to fling us head first off the slippery slope to an America that we will no longer recognize.
As Ronald Reagan once said, “Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.”
But what can you do in this war for the soul of America?
To that I look to a little known soldier who fought in the first World War, Martin Treptow. Unfortunately, Mr. Treptow didn’t survive to see the ending of the Great War yet among his personal belongs was a diary. Upon the first page of this diary he had inscribed the following:
“America must win this war. Therefore, I will work, I will save, I will sacrifice, I will endure, I will fight cheerfully and do my utmost, as if the issue of the whole struggle depended on me alone.”
In this month in which we celebrate our Independence from a tyrannical government who sought to grind us under heel and bow to the dictates of a King, let us not backslide 237 years later and give up on what has been fought for, bled for and died for.
Do your part, however you can. If every patriot who believed in the 2nd Amendment fought as if the entire issue of the right to bear arms depended on them alone, we would never take another step back when it comes to our liberty.
For in liberty do we have freedom. With it, tyranny, like a snake is crushed under heel and driven out.
Sic Semper Tyrannis!
