Blaming Guns for Spree Killings is like Blaming Short Skirts for Rape

Once again a mentally disturbed affluent liberal goes on a killing spree because he isn’t getting laid and OF COURSE the focus is on banning guns from the law abiding. I’m speaking specifically of the recent California spree killing perpetrated by Elliot Rodger.  While some repeatedly call this a mass shooting gun grabbers seem to overlook the fact that Elliot Rodger killed his first three victims with a knife.  He also ran over more victims in his high priced BMW. If he hadn’t killed himself when FINALLY faced with someone with a gun; I wonder if Rodgers, son of Hollywood Producer, Director and Cinematographer Peter Rodgers, would have pled not guilty by reason of affluenza for his actions…but that is a whole other ball of BS that I’m not going to get into now. No, the real issue is that some people, namely the mouth drooling anti gun troglodytes,...

Let’s Not Forget What Memorial Day Is Really About

I like a three day weekend as much as the next guy.  I enjoy picnics and baseball, hot dogs and hamburgers and all the other trappings of Memorial Day weekend. But in our leisure, let us never forget what Memorial Day actual is. It is a day set aside, for us to remember that good men and women laid down their lives for us to enjoy our way of life.  They answered the call their country sent out and gave fully of themselves in their duty.  They have not gone forth as conquerors but as liberators. As Colin Powell so eloquently put it in 2003: “We have gone forth from our shores repeatedly over the last hundred years and we’ve done this as recently as the last year in Afghanistan and put wonderful young men and women at risk, many of whom have lost their lives, and we have...

Chipolte take note: “Gun Free” Restaurant Robbed at Gunpoint

As you may have heard Chipolte has revised its gun policy. The restaurant chain is now banning guns within their stores and creating criminal empowerment zones.  In a statement released by the company they state: “Because the display of firearms in our restaurants has now created an environment that is potentially intimidating or uncomfortable for many of our customers, we think it is time to make this request.” Interesting, because a couple of anti gun rabble rousers go to social media and click a “like” button, Chipolte decides that they will make a company policy disarming all the law abiding people that would patron their restaurants. For those who will continue to eat at Chipolte, I wonder how intimidating and uncomfortable it will be for them when actual bad guys with guns come busting in the place with the freedom and foreknowledge that they can get in, rob and...

Has Ohio Been A Constitutional Carry State All Along?

As I was looking into my travels this Memorial Day weekend I took a minute to have a refresher course on what the gun laws are in the states that I will be travelling to.  I am planning on heading to Cincinnati Ohio to root on my Alma Mater’s, the University of Pittsburgh’s, Ultimate Frisbee Team En Sabah Nur. Yes…your champion of gun rights and all things 2nd Amendment himself was a big time Ultimate Frisbee player.  With ESN, a team on which I was a founding member, I was a 4-time National Qualifier after an injury left him unable to continue playing football at Pitt…but I digress :o) Anyways, while I know Open Carry is legal in the Buckeye state (fortunate for me since Ohio and Pennsylvania do not have CCW reciprocity) I wanted to delve into the motor vehicle aspect of firearm transportation.  From what I heard...

Here’s what Valor and Honor Look like

Cpl Kyle Carpenter only had a split second to make a choice.  He could either think only of himself and flee from a dangerous situation or literally jump headlong into danger in order to protect his fellow Marine. Cpl Carpenter chose the latter. On November 21st of 2010, Carpenter and his squad were securing Patrol Base Dakota against the Taliban in  the southern part of Afghanistan.  It was in this push to secure a stronger presence in the volatile region where he and fellow Marine, LCpl  Nicholas Eufrazio, found themselves on a rooftop in an overwatch position.  Around 10am insurgents pressed an attack and started throwing grenades, one of which landed in the middle of Carpenter and Eufrazio’s rooftop nest. It was in that split moment that Carpenter leapt into action and “distinguished himself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of...

Hillary Clinton…a history of gun hate just in time for 2016

It may come as no surprise to my readers that I do not care for Hillary Clinton.  She comes off as just slimy and I don’t trust her.  And heck, Al Rove may be right and she does have brain damage from a fall in 2012. So it comes as no surprise that Clinton has gone full on gun hate and thinks that WE…the people…are the problem. Here’s what she said at the National Council for Behavioral Health conference: “I think again we’re way out of balance. We’ve got to rein in what has become almost an article of faith that almost anybody can have a gun anywhere at any time. And I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.” So our belief in liberty and freedom from tyranny is something that needs to be “reined in.”  Interesting. Here are some interesting...

Mom Passes the Buck to Homeowner When Her Criminal Son Gets Shot During Burglary

Another case of complete ineptitude on the behalf of a parent in never believing that THEIR child could do ANYTHING wrong so it must be the bad senior citizen whose house her son innocently tried to robs fault.  I try to steer away from blaming parents for the crimes of their children…sometimes kids are just bad, but when you attack a law abiding gun owning senior citizen because they protected their home after your son invaded it with malicious intent…then shame on you. From Liberty Unyielding: “Now, kids, remember: If you break into a private home and someone there is armed, you risk getting shot.” It’s not a typical piece of parental advice, but in view of the growing spate of home invasions by teenagers who end up on morgue slabs, maybe it’s high time it became one. The Merced (Calif.) Sun-Star identifies the most recent casualties as Steven Crider, 16,...

Supreme Court’s Inaction Fails Gun Owners Again

Once again the faith that some gun owners hold in the US Supreme Court to do the right thing in regards to the 2nd Amendment was proven baseless. Last week the Supreme Court decided NOT to rule on the ever expansive infringements on the right to keep AND bear arms in the state of New Jersey.  But refusing to hear the case, the Supreme Court has allowed to stand a ruling by the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals that states the right to bear arms outside of the home can be limited to the whims and discretion of an issuing authority. Basically, if the issuing authority in May-Issue states within the jurisdiction of the 3rd Circuit don’t want to give you a license to carry a firearm they have NO obligation to do so.  All they have to do is claim you don’t deserve one. How this ruling in...

Congressman Laying Groundwork For Executing American Citizens

No doubt the US government can snuff out the life of one innocent anonymous American citizen without giving it too much thought, but when it comes to systematically executing a group of armed citizens the federal government must first lay the groundwork in order to mollify the public. Much like the propaganda practices of Nazi Germany, the Federal government knows it needs to bamboozle the public into accepting the most ludicrous policies as “necessary”. You see, the systematic murdering of innocent citizens perpetrated openly by the government would not be tolerated by the masses.  But if you lie BIG enough and LONG enough and do so CONTINUOUSLY when you finally take your tyrannical actions and execute the aforementioned innocent citizens, the masses will view it through lenses that the government has lowered over their eyes. So what is the lie that is being peddled now?  The lie that the...

Selling…or sellout? That is the question for a Maryland Gun Dealer

I received a call Sunday afternoon by a producer from CBS News wanting to interview me on my thoughts about the owner of Maryland gun shop, Engage Armaments, retracting his idea of selling so called “smart” guns in his establishment. Concerning the interview, unfortunately the timing couldn’t work so I’ll be interested in seeing who they get to fill in tomorrow (Monday) night. Concerning the gun shop owner, Andy Raymond, here’s my take: First, I’m glad he listened to the sentiment of his customers.  Too often we see businesses give knee jerk reactions when an outside group gives astroturf outrage at something they don’t like.  Like how Starbucks kind of capitulated to snobby anti gun elitists who think themselves too good for Starbucks and wouldn’t be caught dead drinking someplace so “passe” to begin with. In Mr. Raymond’s situation though, the outrage is coming from people who actually PURCHASE...

Something to remember on May the 4th, don’t mess with Jedi’s

As you can see in the following video, a man enters a Tuscon Arizona market around 1:30am demanding money and from the back of the store the purveyor, “Jedi” master Maen Mdanat, senses a disturbance in the force. Mdanat first uses his Jedi mindtrick to entrance the would be ne’er-do-well with a wave of his hand and explaining “this is the door you are looking to leave from.” And for a while the mindtrick seems to be holding as the man begins to leave but he is able to shake it off right after the door opens and sucker punches Mdanat. With the time for diplomacy past, Mdanat seems to go into unarmed lightsaber combat Form IV: Ataru,  and with quick rapid strikes the trespasser found himself outside the market, on the flat of his back, begging for mercy. A master in Ataru combat could appear like a blur to...

Lies, Damned Lies, and LIE-berals

For most of you I don’t need to tell you that liberals love to lie in order to get their way.  They lie with misleading statistics, they lie with overblown rhetoric, they lie with dogs and rise with fleas. If you listen to the gun hating liberals lie you would think that you could go to a gun show and buy a nuclear weapon, that there is such a thing as “assault” weapons, and that blood has been running in the streets since the invention of gun powder.  Fortunately their Nazi-esque “Big Lie” has been so soundly refuted by little things like reality and logic that it has trans-morphed into little more than mouth foaming background noise. But one of the most disingenuous lies that liberals like to spout off, and too often gets traction, is the lies against people they wish to destroy. There cause celebre of the moment are comments...

Sunday Funnies: Helping liberals “get” guns through colorful pictures

I read an online comic entitled Failure To Fire; self  proclaimed “first internet comic about gun culture in America.” While the authors are left leaning moderates they are pretty spot on when it comes to guns and it translates well and fairly into their work.  Outside of gun issues and their valid appreciation for hating on the hypocrite Dianne Feinstein, more traditional conservatives might not get into it but, as a libertarian, it’s a fun read to break up the constant onslaught of researching how mouth drooling gun control zealots are continually trying to strip away our rights. With all that being said, perhaps Mel and James colorful pictures can help more insulated Liberals “get” why the 2nd Amendment and the freedom it espouses isn’t a boogeyman that is the be all end all for violence in America.   Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Regrettably, this...

BLM: Bureau of Land MISmanagement

So by now you have probably heard about the BLM acting like cattle rustlers and running scared when a patriot and his friends showed up to draw a line in the sand. Well, when the Bureau of Land Management isn’t busy cattle rustling and nearly murdering a man’s family they are busy slaughtering wild horses. Now, the management part of the BLM is to round up strays and try to find them homes and if not, then they can be sold to slaughter.  But WILD Horses are actually protected by FEDERAL LAW…namely the Wild-Free Roaming Horses and Burro Act of 1971, which bans wild horses to being sold for slaughter. But much like how the BLM tries to stamp out the freedom loving American spirit in it’s citizens whose land they covet, so too do they seem to want to stamp out the wild spirit of the American West.  Namely...

Taxes: Tyranny or Modern Slavery?

Last week a majority of Americans filed their enslavement forms to the federal government.  Some were even unfortunate enough to have to pay the IRS MORE money for the simple right to live and work. I understand taxes…usage taxes at least.  If I use or support something than sure, my money should go in order to maintain and support said entity. In my home state of Pennsylvania for instance, in order to utilize the shooting ranges on the state game lands you must either get a yearly permit of $30 or a hunting/furtaking license.  The income from these permits go to maintaining and updating the shooting ranges. I’m ok with that.  If I want to use the shooting range on state property that the state runs it seems only right that I pay a usage tax for it and why should some hoplophobe or gun hater who will never...

Is this treason?

At what point in the course of human events when it becomes necessary to dissolve the political bands and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, do we leave the notion of treason behind and embrace the liberty of revolution? Last week a man, Cliven Bundy made a stand.  He would not let the federal government illegally seize his property in a bid to have his livelihood and thereby his land stripped from him. In 1776 Thomas Jefferson wrote a little something that the preamble of this article artfully interspersed within itself, it was called the Declaration of Independence.  Now, most of us know WHAT this is…but do you know what is SAYS?  Not the catch phrases and buzzwords like “all men created equal” and “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness”...

Quo Vadis, America?

Quo Vadis translates to the question: Where are you going? It is also a 1951 film covering the ending of Nero’s Emperorship of Rome. As I watched this film I couldn’t help but see parallels of first century Rome and modern America, mainly in the leadership that both share. I have thought that President Obama was just a socialist tyrant but looking at his presidency through a Roman lens I wonder if he is not rather a raving lunatic who plays a metaphorical fiddle while America burns. In Quo Vadis, Nero doesn’t think himself a lunatic.  Quite the contrary, Nero views himself as a artist and his vision is being hampered by the ignorant masses who do not appreciate his “gifts.”  He is falsely bolstered by the sycophants around him and no one dares utter words against him lest they be banished or killed. Nero’s arrogance towards his people...

Happy Easter, let’s talk about sacrifice

Happy Easter. For those of you who do not know, this is the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead after sacrificing his life for the salvation of mankind. Now, nothing I am about to talk about will quite compare to saving the souls of billions but  I want to talk about the notion of sacrifice. We as American’s have been getting fatter and fatter off of our success.  I don’t necessarily mean that literally…but I don’t necessarily NOT mean it either. Most of us enjoy a comfortable life with few TRUE hardships.  Even if you are poor in America chances are you have food to eat and clean water to drink.  A great many other countries cannot boast the same.  And there is a difference between going to bed hungry and actually starving to death.  Yet even going hungry is a small portion of the wealth and...
