So called “Gun Free Zones” are anything but, yet the cronies of the gun control crowd cling to this farce like it is a magic bubble that will protect people who have otherwise been stripped of their rights to protect themselves. So called Gun Free Zones are Criminal Empowerment Zones where a person of ill intent knows he or she can go and kill people at will without having to face any immediate consequence or interruption.
Bullets First had the pleasure of hitting the road this week and making our way to Mount Holyoke College to hear Antonia Okafor give a comprehensive and detailed defense of why the 2nd Amendment is for everyone not matter race, ideology, gender or location. One place that Ms. Okafor is most adamant about where guns should be allowed are on college campuses so that women, who would otherwise be empowered to defend themselves against an attacker are not left at the mercy of those who would do them harm.
The case is about a girl who was involved in a fight on school grounds. She retreated. The other girl followed her, and a fight ensued. S.G., the defendant, claimed self defense. There were video and witnesses that corroborated here story. No evidence was presented that she was not defending herself. The school administration expelled her an the grounds that she was involved in a fight. The school did not consider self defense as an defense for the conduct.
Professor Smith went to his class last week sporting a camouflaged bulletproof vest and helmet. He said he wore it because he doesn’t feel safe.
A leftist Wisconsin group, Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort (WAVE) is opposing teaching children gun safety in schools. They prefer that children not be taught about gun safety, because if they learn about guns, they may decide that guns can be fun and useful.

Dorman has taken the occasion to let us know that restoring the exercise of Second Amendment rights at public institutions is the reason that he has left Kansas University.
Originally, the bill was to allow staff at institutes of higher learning, who had a concealed carry license, to carry on campus. Staff would have been required to notify the administration that they were carrying.

Representative Thomas Massie, (R) KY, has re-introduced a bill to repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act (GFSZA) of 1990 and its amendments. Donald Trump has pledged to eliminate Gun Free Zones, but he will need Congressional help for the GFSZA.

Gun free zones attract criminals like flames attract moths. A promise made by Donald Trump during the campaign was to remove gun free school zones. The federal gun free school zone law has been an abominable infringement on the Second Amendment.
