Kingpin Cuomo Proves Once Again That Criminals Love Gun Control

It is said that criminals love gun control because it keeps victims defenseless.  I guess that applies to white color political criminals as well.

Embattled and disgraced Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo has found himself mired in a number of criminal investigations ranging from obstruction of a justice to witness tampering.  Ironically enough these allegations come on the heels of Cuomo disbanding his own commission created to clean up corruption of state politics.  The Moreland Commission had a brief existence, being formed on July 2nd of 2013 the commission was abruptly shut down in March of 2014 with no explanation given.  The commission was supposed to run until January of 2015.

Now, why does a corruption commission end 10 months early?

It’s not because they DON’T find anything…it’s because they DO.

Of course, if they find the dirt on the WRONG politician they surely won’t name it, especially if that dirt happens to stain the Governor who created the commission to begin with.

Here’s a short list of things that the Moreland Commission was investigating:

  • Criminal statutes for corruption and misconduct by public officials, such as bribery laws;
  • Campaign financing including but not limited to contribution limits and other restrictions; disclosure of third-party contributions and expenditures and the effectiveness of existing campaign finance laws;
  • Compliance of outside organizations and persons with existing lobbying laws, including but not limited to organizations engaged in lobbying and other efforts to influence public policies and elections and the effectiveness of such laws;
  • Adequacy and enforcement of the State’s election laws and electoral process including the structure and composition of the State and County Boards of Elections, the Board of Elections’ enforcement and the effectiveness of and compliance with existing election laws.

So basically, Gov. Cuomo or his administration was found to be guilty of one of the aforementioned areas of investigation.  Bribery, voter fraud, lobbying infringements, contribution violations etc.

These are all serious charges but my eye is drawn to the violations of third party contributions and lobbying infractions that influence public policies.

I start to think about any major law that might have bee influenced illegally by outside influences that Cuomo has championed lately.

Hmmmmmmm…

The SAFE ACT.

For those of you who don’t recall, the SAFE Act was literally rammed down the throats of the citizens of New York.  Cuomo bypassed legislative procedure that requires  3 full days for new bills to be looked over in the State Senate.  Those days are the opportunity that the citizenry has to contact their representative in order to voice support or opposition for said legislation.

Why did Gov. Cuomo feel it necessary to bypass that procedure and force an immediate vote?  Could it be that there were people like Michael Bloomberg, the Brady Campaign and Moms Demand Action lining Cuomo’s and his supporters coffers demanding that the public be taken out of the process?

Is that what the Moreland Commission found?

I think it more than likely.  Everything about how the SAFE Act was jammed through resounds with some dirty dealings.  And when a commission based entirely on the notion of shutting down corruption starts looking into they couldn’t help but connect the dots…and that is why Cuomo had to shut it down.

Sure…this is a bit of conjecture, but with the timing, the character of the people involved and their actions, would it really be surprising if it’s all true?
