Morgan takes long walk off short Pier…thanks America

While not as historic or memorable as in 1776 or in 1812, American’s have decided to kick the British in the keister and send them packing.  Or rather in this case, ONE Brit who invaded the homes of a few people each night.

Piers Morgan, ranting lunatic of the gun control movement, has had his show sacked by CNN.  But it wasn’t the big wigs at CNN who sounded the death knell for Morgan’s show but rather the viewers who tired of hearing a pompous Brit duff rail about American culture and especially our viewpoints of the 2nd Amendment.

Plus, being a liar doesn’t help.

Morgan:  “If you don’t change your gun laws to at least try to stop this relentless tidal wave of murderous carnage, then you don’t have to worry about deporting me… I would… seriously consider deporting myself.”

I guess by being a wishy washy wanker about such things, Morgan defends himself saying he only “considered” deporting himself.

Well, now that his ratings are in the tank he doesn’t have to worry about that.

And despite his protests to the contrary it’s not because he’s BRITISH that we don’t like him:

I’m British, a breed of human being who burned down the White House in 1814 and had to be forcefully deported en masse, as no American will ever be allowed to forget – Special Relationship notwithstanding. It’s no exaggeration to say that America’s unique fondness for guns pretty much got cemented by hatred of us Brits and the War of Independence.

Yes, changing human history by being the first colony ever that tossed off the oppression of its mother country, doing so through force of arms did engender a special relationship between Americans and the right to keep and bear arms.  But Morgan’s notion that him being British has anything to do with his failure is laughable.

Remember Mr. Morgan, it was us Yanks with our crack shot country boys who bailed you out of a little thing called WWII. Growing up in a culture of guns makes us, as a people, more capable of standing up against dictators.

In fact, it makes us pretty used to standing up to anything…even if it’s a sniveling British whose all sixes and sevens.

But now that the few CNN watchers out there won’t be subjected to Morgan’s tirades anymore the question is what will he do now?  I don’t think he is very welcome back in England ever since he was fired and ridden out on a rail for trying to frame the British Military for Iraqi abuse by knowingly publishing fake pictures.  An act that led to heated retaliations that cost several British soldiers their lives.

You can read about THAT Morgan fiasco here: Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan has been sacked after the newspaper conceded photos of British soldiers abusing an Iraqi were fake.

So, a disgrace in his home country, a pariah here in the States, what is Piers Morgan to do?  I guess there’s always Canada.
