Bloomberg loses ANOTHER election he tried to buy – Pro Gun Sheriff Triumphant

This time in Milwaukee, the money juggernaut that is Michael Bloomberg failed to buy a primary election for his anti gun candidate for Sheriff.   In the Democratic primary for Sheriff of Milwaukee county pro gun incumbent Sheriff David Clarke had to fight off not only his challenger but also Bloomberg with a carpet bag full of $150,000.

That was the amount that Bloomberg spent to try and defeat Sheriff Clarke.  That amount is also more than Clarke and his opponent Chris Moews spent combined on their own campaigns.

Fortunately the voters of Milwaukee County would not be bamboozled by the big city huckster and his money and Clarke won his primary by a margin of 52-48.  He runs unopposed in November and as such has all but assured that he will continue to proudly and justly serve the people of Milwaukee.

I am a little surprised that the vote was even that close.  But then again, in this “new” America it seems that 48% of people don’t want to take responsibility for their own lives. I’m of course referring to the 2013 Public Service Ad that Sheriff Clarke put out that stated the following:

“I’m Sheriff David Clarke and I want to talk to you about something personal: Your safety. It’s no longer a spectator sport. I need you in the game. But are you ready? With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option. … Consider taking a certified safety course in handling of firearms, so you can defend yourself until we get there. You have a duty to protect yourself and your family. We’re partners now. Can I count on you?”

I don’t know about you but that sounds like the best Sheriff ever.  And his logic is so honest and refreshing that I am sure a number of coddled and pampered residents took umbrage at the thought that the government wouldn’t/can’t solve all their problems immediately.

What Sheriff Clarke is saying is that “stuff happens and when seconds count cops are minutes away…and you should have something to hold off the bad until we get there”.  Compared to Bloomberg whose saying what exactly?  “Don’t get a gun, they’re bad…it’s better to be raped and murdered while on the phone with 911 than to shoot a rapist dead”?

Bloomberg’s nonsense is not getting the traction outside of his little liberal bubble of New York that he thought it would.  That’s a good thing.  I’m glad 52% of DEMOCRATS in Milwaukee country agree.

I had a chance to meet Sheriff Clarke briefly at the 2014 CPAC in Washington DC and I can say that the good people of Milwaukee have done themselves a service by re-electing the man.

I recorded the forum on which Sheriff Clark spoke if you are interested in hearing the man speak on the 2nd Amendment himself.

All in all, any time there is a place in America where a candidate that is supported by Michael Bloomberg is defeated is a good day for America.

It’s not like Bloomberg is going to run out of money but with any luck if he just keeps facing defeat after defeat he may just get tired of the losing and find something else to occupy his time…like a crusade against Big Gulps.
