I have mentioned this a time or two but I ride a motorcycle. Nice cruiser that lets me lean back and enjoy the ride. Riding a motorcycle is more than fun, it is a means to a peace that driving around in a car doesn’t offer. Bikers understand that riding is a way of life.
It is for this reason that the beginning of the following video is so infuriating You have a biker riding around in Brazil with his helmet cam on when Johnny Scumbag comes rolling up (with his cohort) on our cameraman and sticks a gun into his face and tries to hijack his ride.
I don’t know about you but, to me, what follows next is hilarious.

A scumbag hijacker getting shot in the street without hurting any innocent people just makes my day.
A few things though.
First, it was fortunate for the rider that the cop was right there or else he would have lost his bike, most likely for good.
This is RARE that a cop just happens to be at the right place at the right time in order to stop a crime. Police officers, by and large, investigate crimes after they happen or their presence dissuades criminals from acting. Stopping a crime in progress like this is like winning the lottery.
Second, Brazil is a gun control heavy country. The ENTIRE country, yet this bike hijacker was still able to get himself a gun. You listen to know-it-alls like NY’s Bloomberg, Cuomo and DeBlasio or Chicago’s Emanuel and they claim that guns come from other states and that’s why we need nationwide gun control. Well, Brazil has nationwide gun control and according to a study done by Mexico’s Citizens’ Council for Public Security and Criminal Justice of the 50 most dangerous cities in the world 21 are located in Brazil.
I’m not even hedging my bets when I say that Brazil has one of the most strident gun control policies in the world…they are downright draconian when it comes to making sure their citizens are victims. It is no wonder why country is such a dangerous place to live in.
But, not to get so doom and gloom about it. As evidenced in the video there is one less criminal scumbag in Brazil and that’s a good thing. The police and EMT’s agree because they were none to quick to offer the guilty aid.
I also credit the cop with his accuracy because he put 2 rounds right into the bad guy and had he missed the cameraman biker might have well been shot standing almost directly behind the hijacker. But…
All’s well that ends well.
