If You Are Not Following Ted Cruz On Twitter You Are Missing Out

I follow Ted Cruz on twitter.  I started during the Presidential campaign and to be honest it was pretty blase’, your basic politician fair.  Not bad, but not Earth shatteringly memorable.  Well…that ALL changed with the new year.

I am going to say that Ted Cruz has been on FIRE in recent months with his Twitter feed.

I choose to believe that Ted Cruz is actually the one doing the tweeting and not a staffer, it seems that politicians (the ones I know) tend to do their own tweeting while entertainment stars are more likely to farm it out.

With that being said, you should follow @tedcruz (and while you’re at it @bulletsfirst1 ) and here are some of the reasons why.

Deadspin, a progressive rag trying to pass itself off as sports media tossed this out on twitter after hearing that Ted Cruz played basketball on his down time with some other Senators.

Deadspins motivation most likely to embarass Senator Cruz in some way.  Well, they didn’t really expect a baller of twitter to come at them.  Here is the priceless response from Cruz

HAHAHAHA.  That, for those of you who don’t know is Grayson Allen of the Duke Blue Devils, one of the best players on the team this year and who happens to bear a striking resemblance to the Senator from Texas.

Now, this is the point in the story where a media outlet, being completely outplayed, SHOULD tip its cap to its advesary and say “well played.”  Classless Deadspin on the other hand responds with this:

Way to keep it classy Deadspin.  I mean, completely uncalled for and reminiscent of a sore loser knocking over a chess board when they lose or taking their ball and going home because they don’t like the way they are losing the game.

Speaking of staying classy, or in this case classic, Ted Cruz drops this gem in response:

I seriously almost had tears in my eyes watching this unfold in real time, I was laughing so hard.  Not only was that a perfect rejoinder using an Anchorman meme, but it also has the subtle jab at Deadspin if you know of Ron Burgandy’s catchphrase, “Stay Classy San Diego.”

The twitter battle was SO one sided that people across all political spectrums had to give a nod to Cruz’s ownership of Deadspin, going so far as changing Wikipedia pages to reflect it:

I could recount all the amusing bravos that Cruz received from this but it would take forever but feel free to check out the thread on your own.  It’s worth it.

When Ted Cruz isn’t completely owning the likes of Deadspin he gives a righteous backhand to the hypocrisy of the main stream media but revealing, in a slight of hand worthy of Houdini himself, just how hypocritical and full of bull dung the liberal media is.

If you checked on the link you found an ABC News video of Barack Obama (thinking his mic is off) telling a Russia Ambassador in 2012 that after the election he will have “more flexibility” to cut sweetheart deals with Russia but had to look tough in order to get votes.

I wonder how many progressive liberals were drooling at the thought of Ted Cruz pushing forward a compromising video of Trump only to find out it was a compromising video of Obama that was buried better than Jimmy Hoffa by the new elite?

Then there are his stinging quips about those who have changed the rules and are now crying about the new rules, namely Harry Reid:

Then there are Cruz’s retweets.  Now, a lot of people with over 2 million followers don’t retweet anybody, but Cruz is a retweeter of both big names and everyday folks.  Like this one celebrating Texas Independence day:

Or this funny one from the Onion about the vapid self interest of the Hollywood elite:

I could go on and on but my point is that Ted Cruz is winning Twitter and following him is both informative and entertaining.

I’ll bring this back to where it started, Deadspin.  Ted Cruz owned Deadspin SO badly that the editor of Deadspin pretty much lost his mind and starting challenging Cruz supporters to actual physical violence.  It seems when progressives lose the argument they are all to ready to move to violence (see Berkeley).  But Deadspin Editor Tim Marchman didn’t expect 2 US Veterans to answer his challange.

I would put the Tweet that Marchman posted but that coward erased nearly his entire account.  But I still have the wording:

Unsurprising that not one Ted Cruz-supporting cuck/Twitter user is willing to face me in the UFC octagon.

— Tim Marchman (@timmarchman) January 25, 2017

Well surprise surprise that his challenge did NOT go unanswered:

AND

As I said, after this the cowardly Marchman retracted the offer in lieu of getting his butt kicked and erased all but 4 tweets from his account.  Two from last year and two from March 1st.

Ted Cruz is crushing IT.

And time for the self promotion part of this article; if you want to follow ME because I too am both informative and entertaining I wouldn’t dissuade you from that action 🙂

Just take a look at how I disassembled Senator Claire McCaskill when she tried to be a lying hypocritical liar.
