GA: Anti-Gun Senators Attemp to Legislate Destruction of Valuable Firearms

In 2012, the Georgia Legislature passed a statute to prevent valuable firearms from being destroyed by police. Instead, the statue requires that firearms in possession of police, whether confiscated, seized, or otherwise acquired, be sold to legal dealers, with the proceeds to cover administrative costs.  Anti gun Senators want them destroyed regardless.

Supreme Court Fails Again To Uphold 2nd Amendment

The Supreme Court refused to grant a writ of certiorari in the appeal of Maryland’s ban on certain semi-automatic rifles and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. The ban includes non-detachable magazines, but exempts rimfire firearms.  The State Police list 200 firearms manufacturers with numerous models that are banned by the law, including some of the most popular rifles in the United States.
