Oregon Gun Grabbers Love a Bill that Only Infringes on Law-Abiding Oregonians

I love living in Pennsylvania. Even when my fellow Keystone Staters crap the bed and elect us a corrupt gun grabbing AG and a self professed anti gun Governor, for the most part PA comes through it on the right side of sings.

The same cannot be said for my friend Tami Jackson and her home state of Oregon.  Not only are the politicians out there foaming at the mouth to infringe upon the peoples right to keep and bear arms but the people themselves are complicit in the injustice.

From Tami’s latest article on the matter at Savingourfuture.com:

Friends across the nation often ask me “How can you, a social and fiscal conservative, live in that dark blue state?”

Simple: I was born in Salem, raised, for the most part, in Bend, Oregon, and this beautiful state is my home. By county and acres, Oregon remains mostly a red state dictated to by those Lefty politicrats in Portland and Eugene (Multnomah and Lane Counties).

I published an article, “Let’s Recalibrate Their Priorities!” in 2012:

I realize this is just one state–my state. But Oregon is surely a reasonable representation of the eventual result of unbridled, unjustified and unprecedented progressive ruling and legislation.

Those gate-keepers – the education and media elite – have succeeded in grooming a generation that sincerely believe humans are the avowed enemy of the planet. In their upside-down world-view, whales and seals are more important than babies, and old-growth timber is infinitely more precious than old loggers.

Since I wrote that, the bullying by Progressives, Marxists and homosexual activists has escalated. Every week new assaults are made on our Constitutionally guaranteed rights — the right to bear arms, the right to freedom of religion, the right to freedom of speech.

The latest ideological push is Oregon Senate Bill 941, a gun registration bill. 941 summation from OFF:

Outlaws private transfers of personal property, expands gun registry and police gun owner list, requires gun owners to ask permission from Oregon State Police before giving guns to others, forces every transfer to be subject to failed “background check” system.

The intent of the founders was for EVERY legal, law-abiding citizen to bear arms as a safeguard against unbridled tyranny.

And for the most part, Oregon, a shall issue and open carry state, has remained sound in the area of the Second Amendment, thanks in large part to the ever-vigilant efforts of Kevin Starrett and the Oregon Firearms Federation.

Here’s a bit to remember about living in a state that may seem like, as a whole, it does not share your revolutionary notions like freedom and liberty when it comes to the 2nd Amendment.

Anti gun politicians are allowed to exist because good men and women have not done enough to educate their neighbors about what the 2nd Amendment is.

When we insulate ourselves in a sound vacuum, then our otherwise ignorant neighbors, who still VOTE mind you, listen only to the billionaire gun hater Michael Bloomberg and the corrupt media that he has in his pocket.

Most of my friends in Pittsburgh were at one point anti gun.  Why?  Because they didn’t know any better. But it’s very hard to be my friend and remain ignorant about the truth concerning the 2nd Amendment and REAL gun owners…not just the false and hysterical caricatures that the media would portray us as.

So to that end; if you live in a purple or blue state and you want to do something in order to protect the 2nd Amendment in your home state, educate someone and show them the kind of people who really love liberty and freedom.

Hearts and minds, my friends…hearts and minds.
