Judge tells atheist group to stop being whiny biddies

In some feel good news today a federal appeals court said this week that an atheist group trying to keep the Ground Zero Cross out of the National September 11 Memorial Museum must better explain how displaying the artifact is “offensive” and violates members’ constitutional rights. The cross measures 17 feet high and is a the remains of two I beams that survived the destruction to remain standing.  Those on the ground at the time and in the weeks following 9/11 took solace at the cross and it became an indelible symbol of resolution and hope for many. Apparently that doesn’t mean diddly squat to some atheists who got their panties in a bunch about the cross being in a museum dedicated to 9/11.  The group, American Atheists filed suit back in 2011 trying to have the cross removed because they claimed it was “offensive” and violated their “constitutional rights.”...

The case of Cliven Bundy and his stand against government oppression for the past 20 years may result in a trigger happy fed murdering him in cold blood. The gist of it comes down to the fact that in 1993, the government levied a tax on the land that Bundy’s family has used since the 1880’s in a roundabout attempt to drive him bankrupt and ensure that he could not pass his ranch on to his son. Ralph Rose was the United States Flag Bearer for the 1908 Summer Olympic Games held in London, England.  In the opening ceremonies Rose walked by the royal box and refused to dip the Stars and Stripes to King-Emperor Edward VII. Discussing cases with students at the University of Hawaii’s Law School, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia found himself questioned with the High Court’s ruling back in 1944 that upheld the convictions of Gordon Hira­ba­ya­shi and Fred Kore­ma­tsu for failing to voluntarily give up their freedom and report to an internment camp without due process.
